As far as free labour goes, how would one go about inspiring people to join their startup for free?

Me and my business partner are both college students, who work, who are trying to create something that, we and people we interviewed, believe to be helpful for high school and college students in terms of career planning. We need help for sure, but don't really know how to go about it. Right now we're pros at soliciting helpful advice, but no growth in our team.

Lulu hi. Firstly it is very hard. However can be done, but you need to come away from the mindset of "free".

What can you offer?

Cash? Unlikely.

Stock? Please say yes

An exciting place to work and help grow something? Again please say yes.

So you are not asking someone to join you for "free" just not for a salary as of yet. You need to be persuasive. Let people feed off your excitement for the project and make them feel that they can be a part of it at this early stage.

So go out and start evangelizing your product and make other people enjoy it as much as you do. Then they will come on board.

Good luck
