Creative Schwag Ideas?

We'll be launching our mobile app for private messaging (voice, video and text) in September, and I want some creative schwag to give to beta testers, as well as for general marketing purposes. Something beyond the usual pencil, tote, t-shirt, squishy ball, and ideally related in some way to the app, but not insanely expensive. I'd love to hear creative thoughts anyone has either executed themselves, or seen.

A pen with invisible ink (that only appears when water is added) and sticky notes in the shape of a mobile phone.

What would be perfect would be a custom order of some die cut, dry erase magnets in the shape of a "text bubble". They would be useful and fun so they'd be more likely to get reuses. If that doesn't exist, then sticky notes would work instead. http://www.bluebeeprinting.com/diecut-magnets/

Custom print your app icon on a diamond kite, then throw a kite party and take a bunch of pictures for your social media launch campaign.

since its a "messaging app" cards against humanity comes to mind. might be a way to link up with them and create a personalized small playing deck.... portable phone chargers are always the most needed schwag phone cases?

Good question, Logan. iPhone users (ie somewhat tech savvy), but not currently using private messaging, 35-55 years old.

Beat's Audio, Skull Candy, etc. are over priced (IMHO). i would imagine they are pretty inexpensive to build at a decent quality. It might be worth seeing if you could source some decent quality headphones / ear buds that you could private label. visible, often connected to an iPhone, iPad, laptop, etc. might get some exposure on the streets, coffee shops, airplanes, airports, office,,,, If you find some let me know!

Since all of your users have cell phones, something for phones makes sense.  You could probably find a small rechargeable phone charger pretty cheap with your name printed on it.  Here is an example with a retail price of just $8...
