If your team has a designer for instance, should the MVP reflect that? Do the MVP need to be an expression of the team expertise?
The MVP should be all about the customer's needs in order to validate the business concept and validate the business model. It's all about the customer, not your team.
The focus should be primarily on providing value (solving a problem the customer has). It's got nothing to do with your team.
The minimal part means to do the least amount of work to get the most amount of learning out. That is so you can minimise risk (money, time, resources, etc). MVPs are all about efficiency.
