We operate as a Hardware-as-a-service model (We charge for our hardware being used in a chargeable service).
I am wondering if there are similar businesses that we can review in order to learn from their approach.
The biggest concern that we have is maintaining inventory and matching it against the orders. Any recommendation on the approach and planning?
Well, in my viewpoint, I see the large scale services like web hosting companies such as Amazon Web Services, Bluehost and Azure. They do provide their server space and bandwidth as a service to the customers.
Moreover, if you combine HaaS with SaaS, you'd come up with better ideas.
I don’t have the answer but here is an idea. if you dont Find EXACTLY what your looking for take the high way and focus on creating a solution that other might use as well. Not finding what your looking for is a good Opportunit. Good luck

How do you balance out your hardware inventory with the risk of someone never returning that hardware?
We have currently been asking for a small deposit to ensure that the hardware is returned to us. We are pushing for the hardware to be used.
Just wondering if there are any thoughts around hardware damage deposit.
