I am looking for CTO's and developers to join our new London Based Edtech Incubator. It is a brilliant opportunity but they are really sought after and in high demand. So my questions is, where is the best place to recruit?
For the UK, I don't know what to tell you. Keep in mind that acting as a CTO doesn't mean that's the person's title. And it may quite narrow your pool of relevant parties if you rely on the title instead of the function. In startups, there's a lot of title inflation, giving C-level titles to junior experience, just because they're first. So, consider that if you want to attract a specific skill set, describe the skills and don't focus on the title. The best group to ask are the people already working in those roles, "Where do you get your news?" Just make a bunch of phone calls and tell them you're taking a one-question survey to find out where technologists get their news. Sound reasonable?
