Recommendations for a great startup lawyer in the bay area that is cost effective?

I have already incorporated my company but I don't think the legal firm I am using is used to working with startups and they seem very expensive. Would love recommendations of legal firms other entrepreneurs have worked with in the bay area (I am in Palo Alto but anywhere in the bay would work).

Hey! I would recommend Julie Picquet at WillmerHale. They have an amazing startup program just for early stage startups!

They have helped me with incorporating, Trademarking and patenting . Amazing and very affordable!

Try lawgives.com. They will match you up with one of their lawyers in the network. For DC, I recommend Marque Chambliss - very experienced and very reasonable.

DLAPiper has offices in the Bay Area. They have a relatively new startup program called NEST which provides more affordable rates as part of a 'startup program'.

I have heard good things about startuplawyer.com
They were recently hacked by a Turkish group of hackers so I do not know what happened.
Maybe they wronged someone ? Maybe they didn't.
Would love to know other alternative myself. My startup has unsusual derivatives (call options between two parties) that we want to transact.

I have worked with Kimon Cambouroglou and Harpreet walia in the past.
Though it has been some time, They both were competent and cost effective.

If you are looking at bigger firms, I would recommend looking into Fenwick.  They used to offer a 50K LOC for promising startups that were referred to them from an existing client.

The LOC was incredibly helpful in getting us started, but at senior partner billing rates it did not go very far.

Blake Ilstrup is great. He is in Seattle, as am I, but we've always worked together efficiently by phone/email and it hasn't been important to sit down f2f. blakeilstrup@gmail.com Best, -Eric

I'm with Orrick. Depending on your up side you could get a postponed payment agreement
