I work in the angel investing / including social impact finance space. Would be good to discuss, understand more and explore the ways in which this could get funding.

But so far the investors I talked with, all of them asked how much money you will have earned within one year and for my thing it will be like zero dollars :(, that's actually making me frustrated.

So, where I could find investors who have patience for more than a year to wait till the product establishes market for itself.

I'd be keen to know the UK answer to the same question. I run Developer Startups based in Hatch Oxford - a joint venture between Barclays and 3Space which provides space for social enterprises.

I'd be keen to act as a Hub for ventures looking to find and fund social enterprise startups and for social startups and technologists seeking help, advice and funding.

Thanks a lot Paul for the help. I just found another thing today Non Profits and Social Enterprises Should look for donations rather investments cause here Money isn't made overnight and most of the Angels in for profit region want to know what are you gonna make in next 6 months.

It is difficult to say without knowing more, but think of it like any other business -- first you need to convince investors that you can build it, it will generate revenue and that it will truly help people. Then you need to try to find the right type of investor who believes in your vision. It may be more difficult if the revenue potential is limited, since that lowers their potential return. But there are social investors that care about funding a business that makes the world a better place and are willing to accept a smaller return.

I have no idea what it means for the product to establish a market for itself. It does not sound like a development issue, but rather you expect to make sufficient marketing progress by then -- and only then will revenue be possible. That sounds optimistic, which is risk to an investor.
